Woolen stoles are manufactured in Kashmir of many types, mostly differentiated by the type of embroidery done on them. Needle work is the most common type is embroidery done on the stoles. Crochet "Aari" work is also done on shawls. Embroidery is done in different patterns either along the borders only or in all over creeper or floral design or in Jamawar Style where in the embroidery covers the whole surface.
